Something to Think About

this image represents many of the various things that go thorough my head while i "space out". some of the images are the type of thing to inspire a doodle or a story. the combination of real life and fantasy tells of the constant battle between the kid in me and the adult in me.

This piece is nice and playful. The colors are right on and balanced perfectly to give that mossy woods fantasy feeling. The mushrooms look really nice in some places and really choppy in others. I think the spots they don't look so good is mostly due to odd angles. I would have done without the pictures of you and erin, or played with the color values to make them not as photorealistic. They're nicely placed, but the difference in definition is really distracting.

I'm glad you put yourself into that little world, it looks like fun.

I like all of the commotion going on within the picture, and all the variations of bright, happy colors. The picture of real people in opposition to being cartoons like the rest of the forest is a little distracting, but I think it adds a different touch to the picture which may not be there otherwise. Maybe if you had incorporated the picture of you and your friend into it more, rather than off to the side, it would appear more "fitting." You did a great job!

I love the fantasy theme here and the fact that your collage is just that: A collage! There is no attempt here to blend the images and each one stand out among the trees. Some seem to work into the environment well but they still stand out. Wonderful work!

I love the repetition, like many thought bubbles popping along to create a moment of confusion and bliss.

This is so much fun. Especially with yourself in the corner, grinning like a cheshire and your thumbs up. XD

I think if you used "characters" only once, rather than repeated times (like Tinkerbell), that'd give more strength to the characters appearance and the piece altogether.

The flyswatter is funny. Kind of like god reaching into the "earth aquarium" and giving a swat to all the pesky bugs.

Great Disney-like collage. It reminds me of Fantasia and Alice in Wonderland.

i really like the whimsical/playful aspect of this piece. it looks like it was fun to create. the bubbles are great, the lush greens are wonderful...even gw bush is a nice touch. not sure about the inclusion of the snapshots though...
