Bleu

For this assignment I used some of my old B&W 35mm negatives. The original shoot was about dreaming, and trying to capture some of the really bizarre situations that only the subconscious can create.
I was having a hard time coming up with an idea for this project, so I kind of just scanned my negatives and improved from there. This is the end result and I'm pretty happy with it. The coloring was done using layer blending styles and masking. While it wasn't the most challenge piece I've done, I still feel the end result is good.

I really like this; I like how it feels pulled out of a movie from decades ago. The black and white with some blue snuck in adds to it quite well. Good job!

This picture is most interesting. It feels like something I would use as Album art. I like the black and white with the splash of blue. Keep it up!

The way you duplicated the images is definitely interesting; I like the choices you made in size, the bottom duplicates are small but feel like they have more depth. The larger image on the top lets you see the expression and interaction between the two characters. The blue text in the black and white setting makes it seem like an edgy advertisement.

I enjoy the effects you used in this piece. The "perfection" of making sure each duplication lined up without flaw makes the entire piece pop. Also, the blue (or shall I say "bleu") is very pleasing to the eye and a nice affect.

The "water pipe" reminds me of "Alice in Wonderland".

i cannot really even put into words how this makes me feel. It reminds me of a bob dylan picture. You really did an awesome job on this picture. The combination of the two is perfect.

nice! this piece is so simple and beautiful. has almost a film-still feel, and works nicely as a dream sequence of sorts. love the blue touch...
